We need your help! There are a number of ways in which you can help with the running of the Sutherland Raid. Volunteers are needed to undertake a variety of roles including; on course marshaling; assisting at drink stations and many other key tasks. If you are keen to help on either day of the event or in any other way, please email us for more information at info@sutherlandraid.com. Please include your contact information and how you think you can help which will help us plan our volunteers and identify any skills that may be beneficial. Volunteers must be aged 16 or over on the day of the event. Terms & Conditions of EntryConditions of Entry: By entering the event, you agree to abide by these Conditions of Entry and any event instructions given to you by the organisers and officials of the 2007 Sutherland Raid. For reasons of safety: All participants must wear protective headgear during all event disciplines. This must take the form of a hard/soft shell helmet that should conform to a recognised standard such as BS6863. The organisers and officials make no warranties or representations regarding the adequacy of any standard or the fitness for the purpose of any particular brand of headgear and will not accept any claims arising from the use of any particular headgear. Cycling shoes, shorts and jerseys are also recommended. Riders must also wear protective gloves during all event disciplines. In the case of adverse weather during the 50k XC event on Saturday, participants must carry a waterproof jacket during the event, or they will be refused permission to start. We also recommend that participants carry water, energy bars or a similar snack, tools and replacement inner tubes during this event. Riders must ensure that their bike is fit for the purpose of the event. When a rider is found to be using a machine that in the opinion of the event organisers and officials presents a danger to his/herself or others, the rider shall be withdrawn from the event. Riders may not deviate from the official route. The route and route direction will be signed throughout. Signs will also indicate when you are approaching the refreshment stop. There will be marshals located on the route. All volunteers and staff involved in the event will be clearly identifiable. It is the responsibility of each participant to take the correct course. Entry Fee: All entry fees and related tickets are non-refundable. No transfers between events or transfer of places to another participant. Medical Condition: All participants are strongly advised to consult their doctor prior to undertaking any exercise programme or cycling event. It is the responsibility of all participants to ensure they are medically fit to participate in the event. Use of Image: By entering the race you give permission for the free use of your name, voice or picture in any broadcast, telecast, advertising, promotion or other account of this event. Event Cancellation: The event will only be cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances. In such an eventuality all participants will be notified by email as soon as possible. The organiser's entire liability in respect of all costs and expenses you may incur as a result of such cancellation or delay will solely be the entry price you have paid to take part in the event. Data Protection: The Sutherland Raid and Highland Wildcat comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and you have the right of access to personal records held on the organiser's computer on written request. Your name will be added to the organiser's mailing list so that we can keep you informed about the other events and activities of the event organisers. Participant Numbers: The swapping of participant numbers is strictly prohibited and participants must complete their details and sign the back of their number prior to the event. All participants must display their number on the front of their bike and this must remain clearly visible at all times. Change of Address: If your address details change after you have submitted your application you must notify the organisers by email info@sutherlandraid.com. Organiser: The organiser is Highland Wildcat Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Acts with Company Number SC289934 and having its registered office at Mayfield, High Street, Dingwall, Ross-shire IV15 9ST. I/ We confirm that we have read, understood and accept all the conditions of entry as detailed on www.sutherlandraid.com. I/ We confirm that I/ We are taking part entirely at our own risk. I / We acknowledge that the organisers shall not be liable for death, personal injury, loss or damage arising from my / our participation in or as a consequence of my /our participation in the 2007 Sutherland Raid, howsoever caused, except with regard to death or personal injury which is caused by the organiser’s, promoter’s or event official’s negligence. PARENTAL CONSENT: (to be read and signed by parent / guardian for children under 16). They must also sign the disclaimer.
I agree to my Son / Daughter / Ward taking part in this event entirely at his / her own risk and without any liability whatsoever on the part of the organisers, promoters or event official in respect of any death, injury, loss or damage suffered by him / her, howsoever caused. |
